IPL Hair Removal FAQs
What does IPL mean?
IPL stands for Intense Pulsed Light. Similar to laser technology, it works by reducing hair growth, delivering long-lasting smoothness.
How exactly does IPL function?
IPL uses broad-spectrum light that penetrates the skin and targets the hair follicle, creating heat that disrupts the cells responsible for hair production.
Is IPL safe for at-home use?
Absolutely! IPL is a safe and proven method for hair removal from home. This technology has been trusted since the 1980s and remains popular thanks to its simplicity and effectiveness.
Does using IPL cause pain?
Not at all. Most people describe the sensation as warm and slightly tingly — far more comfortable than waxing! Plus, if you have sensitive skin, you can adjust the intensity for extra comfort.
Can I use it for a full Brazilian?
Yes, you can safely perform a full Brazilian treatment with our device. There’s also a gentle mode designed specifically for delicate areas.
How long does each session take?
Session duration depends on the area treated, but smaller sections can take just a few minutes.
A full-body treatment takes about as long as a professional clinic visit, but at a much lower cost.
Do I need to prepare my skin beforehand?
Yes. To achieve optimal results, shave, clean, and dry the targeted area before your session. This allows the light to reach the hair follicle more effectively.
How many treatments are needed?
We suggest using the device once per week for up to 10 weeks to achieve the best results. Some users see improvements after just one session. Stay consistent and soon you’ll leave shaving and waxing behind!
How long does the device last?
Our handset offers over 900,000 flashes — enough to last more than 30 years, even with frequent use.
Which areas of the body can I treat?
You can use it almost anywhere: from your legs to your face (excluding the eye area), including your Brazilian region. It’s perfect for upper lip, underarms, or any stubborn spots.
Note: Do not use it near the eyes or look directly at the light during treatments.
Can I combine IPL with other hair removal methods?
You may continue shaving, but avoid plucking, waxing, or epilating. The device requires hair in the follicle to effectively disable growth
Will I need to buy refills?
Nope! With over 900,000 flashes, you’ll stay hair-free for years. No refills or extra cartridges required
Is it suitable for all skin tones?
Our device works on most skin tones except the darkest shades. Those with deep tans can also safely use it.
Will it work on all hair colours?
It works best on dark hair and may not be effective on red, grey, or very light blonde hair.
Can I use IPL while pregnant or breastfeeding?
We recommend avoiding IPL during pregnancy and breastfeeding. If unsure, consult your healthcare professional.
Can I tan while using IPL?
Avoid using IPL over tanned skin or tanning products. We suggest completing IPL sessions before tanning.
Can IPL be used over tattoos?
No, do not use IPL directly on tattoos. You can safely treat the surrounding skin.
Can I use it on freckles or moles?
Avoid using IPL on dark freckles or moles; instead, work around them.
Is there a warranty?
Yes! All our products include a 12-month warranty from the date of purchase.
Where should I avoid using IPL?
Only apply IPL to healthy, intact skin. Avoid areas with injuries, burns, or damage, as well as near eyes, genitals, nipples, forehead, tattoos, and moles.
